Using your rent and repairs page

Last updated: 2026-08-29

This document is not ready to be relied on.

The operating entity, ABN and business address have not been set in lib/legal/entity.ts. Until they are, this page does not identify who you are contracting with, which it must.

Your rental provider uses software called LeaseDock to look after your tenancy. This page explains what that means for you. It is short on purpose.

Who runs this

LeaseDock is run by THE OPERATING ENTITY IS NOT SET (ABN ABN NOT SET). We are not your rental provider and we are not your agent. We do not own your home, we do not decide your rent, and we cannot fix anything in your home ourselves.

What you can do here

  • See what rent you owe and how to pay it.
  • Tell your rental provider something is broken, and send them a photo.
  • Send them a message and read their replies.
  • Read your agreement and the lists made about the condition of your home.

What we ask of you

  • Keep your password to yourself.
  • Only use this page for your own tenancy.
  • Do not send anything abusive or threatening. Your messages are kept.
  • If something here looks wrong, tell your rental provider. Do not rely on it.

Your messages and photos are kept

Everything you send here is stored and your rental provider can see it. Either of you may be able to use it later if there is ever a disagreement, including at a tribunal. That is normal, and it usually helps you: a photo of something broken on the day you reported it is worth a lot more than remembering it a year later.

What this page is not

Nothing here is legal advice. What it shows you comes from what your rental provider has entered. If a number or a date looks wrong, it probably is, and you should say so.

Paying rent is between you and your rental provider. We do not take your money and we do not decide whether a payment has arrived. If you have paid and it is not showing, tell them.

If you disagree with your rental provider about rent, repairs or your bond, your rights come from the residential tenancies law in your State or Territory, not from us. Your local tenants union or consumer affairs body can help you, free.

Your information

We hold information about you because your rental provider gave it to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email privacy@leasedock.com. You do not have to go through your rental provider to ask us, and we will not tell you to.

If we get something wrong

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and the Privacy Act still apply, and nothing on this page takes them away. If you are unhappy with something we have done, email support@leasedock.com and tell us. If we cannot sort it out, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about a privacy matter, at no cost.

Ending your access

When your tenancy ends, your rental provider may close your access to this page. Ask them for anything you want to keep before you move out, or email us and we will help.
