Routine inspections every six months by default, with an entry notice you check, then send. The exit report is compared with the entry. | Not mentioned on its pricing page. |
| Rent | Records rent and never collects it: renters pay into your own bank account. Upload your bank’s CSV export and each payment is matched to its rent for you to confirm, or connect Xero and a deposit reconciled there marks the rent paid. Reminders on your state’s timeline. No live bank feed. | Collects rent and deposits online, with partial payments, automated late fees and reminders. |
| Bookkeeping | Expenses per property, a receipt photo read into an expense, Xero, and a tax pack on the ATO’s rental schedule items. | Income and expense tracking, AI-assisted bookkeeping, a smart receipt scanner, a mileage tracker, automated bank feeds and a Xero integration. |

Five things people ask.
The questions that come up when choosing between LeaseDock and Landlord Studio, answered straight.
Does LeaseDock have a mobile app?
Not one you install. LeaseDock works in the browser on any phone, and inspections are done on your phone room by room. Landlord Studio has apps on the App Store and Google Play.
Does LeaseDock connect to my bank?
Not with a live bank feed. You upload your bank’s CSV export and LeaseDock matches each payment to its rent for you to confirm. If you use Xero, connect it and a rent deposit reconciled there marks the rent as paid. Landlord Studio offers automated bank feeds on its paid plans.
Is LeaseDock built for Australian rules?
Only for Australia. Each property follows its own state’s rules for bonds, safety checks and entry, with the rule each date came from, and agreements are on the state’s own form. Landlord Studio’s website is written for landlords in the United States and the United Kingdom, and we didn’t find an Australian page on it.
Can LeaseDock help at tax time?
Yes. Every rent payment and expense you record adds up through the year, a photo of a receipt fills in the expense for you to check, and at the end of the financial year the tax pack sets out rent and expenses on the ATO’s rental schedule items for your accountant. It is a summary of your records, not tax advice.
